If you dare …welcome to the next step in world music. Come and meet the musical rainbow started from the red fire of gipsy music and the blue sky of Hebrew choir. There has never been before ice melted with fire and power with sweetness in such a musical manner. Be ready to be transported to a new sensation by the musicians involved in this project, each of them truly enjoying this approach. It is like finally the musical circle is complete… the fanfare got voice!!! Fanfare Zimbrul consists of eight brass music players, well known from their concerts around Europe and even Japan. The instruments are all wind instruments and 1 middle size goat skin drum. Yiddische Mame is a three person Jewish female choir. They also perform at JCCB (Jewish Community Centre of Bucharest). This cross cultural musical project aims to offer you the taste of two cultures, the musical mixture of campfire and spiritual kabala. The power and joy of life of Gipsy culture, best represented by a brass band is blended with the lyricism and spirituality of Jewish traditions represented here by a female choir. Together they perform Gipsy (Balcan), Romanian and Jewish (Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino) music and dances in a way you will never forget. Their repertoire consists of music from all areas covered by the two cultures from East European steppes of Russia to Spanish Mediterranean coast. The 90 minutes performance consists of 30-40 minutes of vocal music and 50-60 minutes of fanfare well known instrumental music.
